Socomec Branch Circuit Monitor SCBM Socomec has created a touch safe class 0.5 branch circuit meter for panel board installation. This innovative design incorporates 21 integrated current tranformers connected together by a single RJ45 network type cable. This allows for a clean instalation for up to 84 circuits plus the main incoming lines. High accuracy, remote monitoring and control and multiple built in communication protocols including BACnet IP for connecting with existing building management systems for monitoring precise energy usage.

Accuracy Not only is this system 3X faster to install it is 2X faster to configure. This SCBM system is twice as accurate as the compitition and the entire systems has an accuracy rated of class 0.5 on the global chain including the CTs. Measurements can be trusted even on the low load conditions. For example a 600A TE-e5 current sensor maintains accuracy ratings dow to only 16A.
Safety The system is powered by 24VDC power supply and CT strips are touch safe for disconnecting even under load. No risk of damage or injury from electrical shock dischargs as the connections and modules have no exposed circuitry.
Accessibility The compact SBCM sytem provides flexibility with secure web server, virtual monitor to detect tripped or inactive breakers, email alarm notifications, and class 0.5 accuracy. In addition to digital display options, there are several communication protocols to choose from including modbus TCP, modbus RTU, BACnet IP, and SNMP. Measurements enclude energy usage in kW and KWh, but also power quality such as harmonics, THD, phase imbalance and earth leakage.
